Yuichi Kobayashi
Yuichi's philosophy is in the importance of keeping these materials absolute, the belief that nothing more is needed, especially the addition of artificial elements.
His mission is to create timeless pieces that whilst being versatile are full of maintaining the original charm of the locally sourced material. Pieces that are thorough and whole in celebrating that identified element.
While always maintaining the importance of traditional teachings and techniques as a foundation, Yuichi innovates by creating works that are one step away from tradition. Through this, he is able to create truly a notable style and develop a new genre of what is defined as traditional ceramics in Japan.
